Disclosure
Digitally edited & virtually staged photos
Some imagery we deliver is digitally edited or AI-enhanced. When you publish an edited image in a listing or advertisement, applicable California real-estate advertising rules and your MLS (e.g. C.A.R. guidance) generally require you to disclose that the photo has been digitally altered or virtually staged.
Edits that require disclosure
- Virtual staging (digitally added furniture or décor)
- Virtual twilight (a day photo converted to a dusk look)
- Sky replacement and color/exposure enhancement
- Removal of objects, clutter, or temporary items
- Property-line / boundary overlays and amenity drop-pins
We label virtually-staged and altered files and recommend a clear, visible disclosure wherever the edited image appears — for example, “Photo digitally staged” or “Image digitally enhanced.”
This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm the disclosure requirements that apply to your specific listing and MLS.
