The Scroll-Stop Scorecard.
Grade your current listing photography the way a San Diego buyer scrolling Zillow at 9pm actually judges it. Rate each of the ten things that decide whether a listing gets saved — or skipped.
Shortcut · scan your site
Paste your website or a brokerage listing page and we’ll auto-fill what we can detect — drone, floor plan, 3D tour, twilight, and video — so you only rate the rest.
01Hero shot
Weight 14The single image carrying the first impression on Zillow, Redfin, and your IG carousel cover. If this frame doesn’t stop the scroll, nothing behind it gets seen.
02Twilight / golden hour
Weight 12Coastal San Diego’s most underused asset. A Carlsbad or Del Mar listing without the dusk frame leaves the most-clicked photo in the MLS dataset on the table.
03Drone / aerial
Weight 12Canyon lots, ocean proximity, walkability to the village — none of it reads from a tripod at 5’10”. Aerial is how out-of-state buyers see the lot.
04Vertical video for social
Weight 11The buyer relocating from Austin or Seattle sees your listing on a phone before they ever fly out. Landscape-only media is invisible in Reels, TikTok, and Stories.
05Lighting & exposure
Weight 10Blown-out windows, orange tungsten cast, dark rooms. The fastest way a $2M La Jolla home looks like a $700K rental is bad light.
06Staging & declutter
Weight 9Half-staged photo sets read as half-finished listings. Buyers don’t subtract clutter — they subtract interest.
07Floor plan & 3D tour
Weight 9An iGUIDE or Zillow 3D tour plus a clean schematic floor plan is now the filter buyers sort with. Without them, you’re invisible to a class of search.
08Photo count & coverage
Weight 8Every room, both sides. Yard from two angles. A buyer who can’t find a photo of a bathroom assumes the bathroom is the reason.
09MLS vs. social cut
Weight 8The same 35 photos don’t work in both places. MLS rewards comprehensive — IG rewards three frames that don’t look like every other listing.
10Turnaround speed
Weight 7Days on market starts when the listing goes live, not when the media arrives. Photos that land Friday for a Monday launch are too late.
