Home Preparation Guide
Pre-Shoot
preparation checklist.
A clean, clutter-free home sets the stage for a beautiful story. First impressions matter — especially in real estate. Tick each item off as you go, or print a copy for your seller. Take a moment to prepare the home for its close-up, and you'll see the difference it makes on camera. On shoot day, turn every light on and switch ceiling fans off — a still fan photographs far better than a blurred one; if a fan and light share a single switch, leave both off.

Tip: Short on places to put things? Use the garage. We rarely photograph the inside of it, so it is the best spot for boxes, spare furniture, and anything else you clear out. Fewer pieces in a room also means more open floor, which makes it read larger in photos.
