What a floor plan shows
A floor plan is a top-down map of the home: the position and size of each room, doorways and windows, and how the spaces flow into one another. A measured floor plan adds accurate dimensions and a square-footage figure derived from an on-site scan rather than a guess. It answers the questions photos can’t — is the layout open or closed, where do the bedrooms sit, will my furniture fit?
Why listings benefit
Photos sell the feeling of a home; a floor plan sells the facts. Buyers routinely skip listings they can’t mentally "walk," and unanswered layout questions become friction that slows a sale.
